Library Card Design Contest Online Form
CONTEST RULES
- Entry must be original artwork.
- Anyone living in the library's service area may participate.
- Paper entries will be accepted at any Mesa Public Library location or can be scanned and submitted digitally below. Digital files must be in .jpg, .png, or .pdf format with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher (5:7 aspect ratio; actual size of card: 3.4" x 2.125").
- Entries will be accepted starting June 1, 2025 and must be received no later than July 31, 2025.
- There are no monetary prizes associated with winning this contest or for the use of artwork or quotes.
- By submitting a design, you promise that the artwork you submitted: is your original creation; has not been copied in whole or in part from any other work; does not say bad or false things about other people; and has never been previously published or submitted to any other competition. All entries will become property of City of Mesa. The City may reprint the entries in publications, online, or other media.
- By submitting artwork for a child or teen, the Parent/Guardian consents to the use of the child’s/teen’s name, artwork and/or quote on materials that promote the City of Mesa programs and activities.
- Winning designs will be determined by Mesa Public Library staff and others involved with the Gateway Library. The decisions of the judges are final and binding.
- Mesa Public Library will contact winners by phone or email in August and post winning entries to the Mesa Public Library website and social media accounts. The Mesa Public Library will attempt to notify winners using the information provided in the entry form by August 31, 2025. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 48 hours of the first contact attempt, if a winner does not fulfill the eligibility requirements, if a winner does not adhere to the Contest Rules, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, that winner will be disqualified, and contest organizers may select a new potential winner by the same criteria set forth above.
- Winners and Honorable Mentions will be recognized at a Gateway Library grand opening event in Fall 2025.
- While the printed library cards will adhere as closely as possible to the original designs, some artistic license may be used to ensure the designs work with the supplier and materials we use.
