1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Take part in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge available through our new Beanstack platform! The goal is to read 1000 books with your newborn, infant, toddler, or preschool-aged child before kindergarten, setting the stage for a lifelong love of reading.

How It Works

Any time your child reads a book, or you read a book to them, track it using Beanstack. We encourage reading the same book several times, and each reading of the book counts. Reading helps build social and emotional skills, sparks creativity and imagination, promotes bonding, and helps kids do well overall in school. The goal is to work reading aloud into your regular routine and let the magic of stories do the rest.
