Writing workshop: Heroic Journeys

Post Date:03/03/2016 2:29 PM
Vivid and believable characters are at the heart of every successful story. Randy Lindsay, a local fiction writer, will be hosting a workshop to help participants learn more about the world of creative writing. The workshop will take place Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m. at THINKspot, Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Road.

The workshop is based on the book “The Writer’s Journey” by Christopher Volger. Lindsay will explain the time-honored structure of storytelling that has been around since cavemen told stories around campfires. Participants will have a chance to apply what they have learned to their own stories.

Lindsay enjoys sharing his passion for reading and writing and is the author of the “Beginning’s End” series, “Exit Stage Left,” and shorts like “A Coyote’s Tale” and “Not Fragile.”

This two hour workshop will start you on the way to discovering your literary talents. This workshop is free and open to the public.
