What are Teacher Book Buckets?
Teacher Book Buckets are not just for teachers! They are perfect for families, day cares, preschools, scout troops, home-schoolers, sleepovers, and visiting grandparent as well as classroom teachers.
Book Buckets are actually rolling backpacks that contain 15 - 25 books on a topic, prepackaged for quick and easy checkout.
Materials are appropriate for children from preschool through 3rd grade levels; topics include alphabets, numbers, animals, holidays and more!
More information about Teacher Book Buckets:
- Reserve your Book Bucket through the library catalog. You will be notified when the Book Bucket is ready for pickup and you will have seven (7) days to pick it up.
- Book Buckets are available only at the Main Library and must be picked up and returned at the 1st floor service desk when staff is on duty (10am - 8pm Monday-Thusday; 10am-5pm Friday & Saturday).
- Book Buckets check out for three (3) weeks. Late fee: $1.00 per day. Buckets may be renewed one time if no one is waiting.
- All materials in the Book Bucket must be returned together; a library staff member will inventory the Book Bucket upon return (contents are listed in the teacher's guide). Notify staff when returning the Book Bucket if any item or book has been damaged or lost. Lost/damaged part replacement fees: $10.00/each missing item, $200.00/entire Book Bucket.
