Application deadline for 2015 Summer Reading Program

Thanks for your interest in the Mesa Public Library’s Summer Reading
Meet new friends, learn valuable work skills, socialize with library
patrons and have tons of fun!
You must be at least 14 years of age and a parent or guardian’s
signature is required on your application.
About the Program
The Summer Reading program runs from May 26 thru July 31, 2015. Summer
students are needed for various positions in all four of Mesa’s public
Some of the duties you might be responsible for include: recruiting
library patrons to participate in the Summer Reading Program,
registering patrons into the program, assisting librarians with
programs, shelving library materials and general library support tasks.

Due to changes in the program, this year’s summer student positions at
all four libraries will be highly competitive.

Make sure the availability times you circle on the application are
actual times you can get a ride to the library and are available to work.
Choose more than one library if possible.
Make sure your contact information is all correct. You must have your
own email address and you should be checking email regularly.
Applications will only be accepted from April 1 - April 30, 2015.
Applications will be reviewed April 22 - May 2.
Successful applicants will be notified of interview times
April 27 - May 8. (Note:
not be notified if you are not chosen for an interview)
Interviews will be conducted April 27 - May 15.
Summer Reading Program volunteers will be notified by May 20.
Main Library - Wednesday, May 27, 5:30 - 7pm
Red Mountain Library - Tuesday, May 26, 5:30 - 7pm
Dobson Ranch Library - Thursday, May 28, 5:30 - 7pm
YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE for the orientation at your designated library or
you will not be allowed to volunteer this summer.
