Summer reading at Mesa Library kicks off this week
Sign up for Mesa Library’s Summer Reading Program and be entered for a chance to win a new Kindle HD tablet.
“We are encouraging everyone to read,” Mesa Librarian, Sandy Rizzo said. “So, if you’re a kid, teen or adult we have a program for you. The more you read, the greater your chances of winning.”
Kids can sign up for the “Every Hero Has a Story!”, teens “Unmask!”, and adults for the “Escape the Ordinary” Summer Reading Program. All participants will need to log their reading or attend a Library Summer Reading Program to earn badges to qualify to enter into weekly prize drawings. Participants will receive free meals at Village Inn while they last, tickets to local museums and attractions, fun items like water bottles, t-shirts, and games, plus the grand prize drawing to all finishers: one of four Kindle HD tablets! Weekly prize drawings will be from June 1 to August 1.
The Summer Reading Program is available at all branches of the Mesa Public Library. You can also tap into the Library’s digital collection with ebooks, audiobooks, movies, and music collections for tablets and other devices available 24/7.
Reading for 20-minutes a day fosters the good habit of reading and decreases summer learning loss. So fly into a Mesa Library and join this year’s Summer Reading Program! See the online events calendar at www.MesaLibrary.org and sign up for summer reading at http://www.mesalibrary.org/summerreading
