Obituary Searches
  • We perform obituary searches only for persons whose obituary appeared in a Metro Phoenix area newspaper.
  • We cannot guarantee that we will find the information you request.
  • Arizona requires a family member to sign a release form in order for an obituary to be published in the local newspaper.
     
  • We provide obituary searches of the East Valley Tribune and Arizona Republic newspapers.
  • Searches may take up to 10 days.
     
  • You must submit either a telephone number or an email address for your request to be processed.
  • There is a limit of requests to two (2) per month per person.

Helpful Hints:

  1. To expedite your search, use the Social Security Death Index to find the date of death.
  2. Check the Obituary Search Index for obituaries that appeared in the East Valley Tribune from 1997 to present to find the exact date the obituary appeared in the East Valley Tribune.
  3. Fill out the request form as completely as possible.
  4. If you live in the metro Phoenix area, please come to the Periodicals Room in the Main Library, and our on-site staff will assist you with your obituary search.
